As well as our wonderful weekend exhibitions, this year we're bringing extra buzz to Burwash Manor during weekdays too with our very first resident artists!
Visit during the week to meet the artists and see finished work and work in progress. There will also be opportunities to get creative yourself!
8-12 July Emily Jolley
Emily is an abstract expressionist painter who is inspired by the natural world and enjoys using emulsion paint. She will be sketching, creating new work, stretching canvasses, exhibiting finished work, and providing space and materials for visitors to draw.
15-19 July Kate Green
Kate is an abstract, mixed media and multi-disciplinary artist whose art is full of colour, life and joy! Expect an immersive installation, a display of finished painting, print, and sculpture, new work being created and engaging drop-in workshops.
23-24 July Pam Cole
Artists and freelance art tutor Pam is happiest drawing and painting outside, so expect lots of that during her residency! Also an expert print-maker, Pam will be inviting visitors to try their hand at gel plate printing alongside creating and displaying her own artworks.
Pam loves to share her passion for art with others and is a long-standing tutor for the Artists' Marquee chosen charity for this summer, Cambridge Community Arts.
22-26 July Cambridge Community Arts
Cambridge Community Arts have been invited to take over the marquee for a week which will include displays of artwork by participants of their creative courses. Visitors are encouraged to donate to support their work which uses the power of art to support personal growth and social inclusion, improve health, and empower communities.
